Confidentiality is the fundamental policy of my work. I can't be helpful to my clients without their full, truthful disclosure. Confidentiality is essential for trust.
The first rule of my work is... I do not talk about my clients.
The second rule of my work is... I do not talk about my clients!
Our "first contact" is at no obligation to you. My work is different -- even unusual -- and I realize that you may have little idea what you'll be getting. Therefore, our first meeting carries no obligation on your part to pay me.
However, I will be working from the moment we sit down together. So, if you value what you get from me in our first meeting and want to meet again, you will be billed for our first contact. If you don't value what you get from me in our first meeting, we will shake hands, part friends and you will not be billed for that first meeting. Fair enough?
Fees are set on a sliding scale.
Consulting fees are billed hourly. The bottom of the range is "what you make" -- i.e. your effective hourly pay rate -- symbolizing that we are partners in the process and that our time is worth at least equal value. The top of the range is astronomical for extremely high value issue to crazy rich people, behemoth corporations, etc.All fees will explicitly be agreed to at the beginning of our work!
Presenting and training fees are billed on a flat-fee basis. The bottom of the range is an "honorarium" for certain charitable and civic organizations. The top of the range is at "rock star" levels when the participants are making a boatload.
Fees are due and payable upon receipt. By the time you get the bill, I will have already earned my fees. You are expected to pay me promptly for my work.
Consulting fees are billed on a monthly basis. At the end of each month, I will submit a bill by email for our time together. Payment is due immediately upon receipt.Fees can be paid by cash, check, or online by credit card via PayPal.
Presenting and training fees are billed at the time of service. At the conclusion of our session, I will present a bill for services. Payment is due immediately upon receipt. In cases where up-front expenses are involved -- travel, materials, etc. -- I will provide a good-faith estimate upon engagement and receive partial payment in advance.
